Siberia in the Bones – Movie

The Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation and the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova to the U.S. invite you to the docudrama “Siberia in the Bones” on Tuesday,  March 26 at the Victims of Communism Museum located at 900 15th Street, NW in Washington, DC. The event will begin at 5:00 pm with light refreshments and opening remarks and the film screening will begin at 5:45 PM.

Siberia in the Bones (Siberia din oase)is dedicated to the Moldovans deported to Siberia under the Stalinist regime and was made to commemorate 70 years since the deportations in Moldova (formerly known as Bessarabia). This docudrama is structured around the stories of four children who were forcibly exiled to Siberia during the second wave of deportations, on the night of July 6 to 7, 1949. Running time: 86 minutes. Language: Original Romanian, with English subtitles
