Biserica ortodoxă română Sfântul Andrei vă invită în perioda 17 – 19 mai la o nouă ediție a Festivalului Românesc care va avea loc la proprietatea bisericii – 9111 River Rd, Potomac, MD 20854. Pe parcursul acestui weekend, veți avea cele mai bune ocazii să vă bucurați de tradițiile și cultura românească! Sute de voluntari vă așteapta cu mult drag și vă întâmpina cu tradiționalul “Bine ați venit!” și “Pofta bună!”.

Tradiția culinară românească va fi ca de obicei la mare înălțime; gustul dumneavoastră se va bucura de mititei și tradiționalele sarmale românești (printre altele); băuturile românești vor fi si ele disponibile iar prăjiturile pregătite cu multă dragoste vă vor încununa experiența culinară. În paralel, ochii se vor bucura de produsele de artizanat prezente la festival, de frumusețea costumelor populare purtate cu mult drag de oaspeții și gazele festivalului, deopotrivă. Auzul ne va lega și de tradiția muzicală ale doinelor și învârtitelor românești. Iar toate acestea se vor împlini în sferele spirituale prin înțelegerea mai profundă a spiritualității ortodoxe românești!

Saint Andrew Romanian Orthodox Church invites you during the weekend of May 17 – 19 to a new edition of the Romanian Festival which will take place at the church’s property located at 9111 River Rd, Potomac, MD 20854. The entrance is free! Donations for the construction of the “Moldovița at Washington DC” church are encouraged and desired.

During this weekend, the experience of Romanian tradition and culture will be at its best! Hundreds of volunteers are eagerly waiting for you and will greet you with the traditional “Bine ați venit! / Welcome!” and “Poftă bună! / Enjoy your meal!”.

The Romanian culinary tradition will be at a high level as usual; your taste will be delighted by the mititei (Romanian skinless sausages) and the traditional Romanian “sarmale” (stuffed cabbage with different kind of meats), among others; Romanian drinks will also be available and the homemade pastries, prepared with a lot of love by our ladies, will crown your culinary experience. In parallel, the eyes will be delighted by the handicraft products present at the festival, by the beauty of the popular costumes displayed with much love by the festival guests. Hearing the folk music, will connect you with the millennial musical tradition of Romania. And, above all, this will be fulfilled in spiritual realms through the deeper understanding of Romanian Orthodox spirituality, which you are welcome to understand and embrace!
